Patti's Preschool Newsletter, June 2021

Summer camp is just around the corner and we can’t wait for all our fun activities and special guests. We want to finish off the school year by celebrating with pizza lunches for our students in Room 3, 5, and 6 on June 9 and 10. For our younger students, we’re planning popsicle parties and water play on the playground on June 16 and 17. Our theme at the end of the month will be Creative Art and America the Beautiful. We’ll show our patriotism during the week of June 28 with lots of fun crafts including handmade flags and hats! We’ve attached a copy of our summer themes so take a look at all the exciting events we have planned!

Scholastic book orders are due on Friday morning, June 11. This will be our last book order for the school year and we’ll offer them again starting next September. Go to www.scholastic.com to place your order. Our class code is GW3RF. Please see the front office for more information! We receive points for classroom supplies with every order!

Celebrating birthdays this month are Olivia, Sienna, Zach, Luke, Payvand, Lambert, Lexi, Ellie, Riley, Sofiia, Lily, and Logan. Ms. Alexa is also celebrating her birthday. We hope everyone has a very special day!

Our hard-working substitute, Ms. Sue, is celebrating her 3 year anniversary this month! Please let her know you appreciate her hard work!

Thank you to all our thoughtful parents who brought in breakfast treats, flowers, cards, and special gifts for Teacher Appreciation Week. We are so grateful for your thoughtful gestures!

Our popcorn fundraiser was a huge success thanks to everyone who participated. We’d especially like to thank the Ramirez, Pasca, and Flores families who were our top sellers! We are pleased to announce that profits will go toward paying our educational guests this summer. We can’t wait for the puppy petting party, petting zoo, Thor’s Reptile Family, experiments with Mad Science, pony rides, and the Kona Shaved Ice truck!

We will be closed on Friday, June 18, for Teacher Prep Day. We will be busy getting ready for our summer session which begins on Monday, June 21. Your child may be moving to a new classroom on that day. Our summer rosters will be posted in front of the school on Monday, June 14.

We love our Patti’s Preschool dads so we’d like to wish all of you a very happy Father’s Day!
