Patti's Preschool Newsletter, July 2017

We’re starting off the month of July with Western Day on July 5 with lots of games and playground activities including pony rides. Please have your child wear western clothing to school that day. Starting July 10, our theme is Children’s Literature and our guest is storyteller Miss Mary-Pat on July 13. The following week, our theme is Music Appreciation and our guests include The Ceballos Family Band and Hip Hop Jen. We’ll finish the month learning about Insects, Spiders, and Reptiles. We can’t wait to see Thor’s Reptile Family and Sean from Education Through Nature.

Parents, please let us know if you are planning a vacation this summer and leave the dates at the front desk. Our program runs more efficiently if we have an accurate head count each day!

Celebrating birthdays this month are River, Jaden, Brayden, Zoe, Kendall, Addison, and Corrine. Two of our teachers, Ms. Gianna and Ms. Brittney, are also celebrating their birthdays. We hope everyone has a memorable day!

Ms. Aisling in Room 1 is celebrating her 4th year anniversary at Patti’s Preschool this month! We love Ms. Aisling because of her friendly, gentle personality. She’s the perfect teacher for our youngest students!

We would like to welcome our new students and families. We look forward to getting to know you! We always strive to make this an easy transition for you and your family. Please feel free to pick up a free copy of our brochure, “So Many Goodbyes.” It offers useful suggestions to help make the transition from home to preschool easier on children and parents.

Fall registration sign-up forms will go home Monday, July 10 and must be returned no later than Friday, July 14, to reserve a space for your child! We cannot guarantee a spot if the signed sheet is not returned by that date.

Master Claire and Master Chris from Victory Martial Arts will be here on July 12th for a fun Taekwondo demonstration for our older students. The instructors at Victory will help instill character, discipline, self-esteem, and respect in your child with a positive attitude.

Our teachers will be taking their annual vacations over the summer months. Someone from our regular staff or one of our qualified substitutes will cover for them while they are gone. Your child’s teacher will notify you and your child in advance.

We would like to thank Kendra Smith and Family for treating our staff to a custom Starbucks Coffee order during Teacher Prep Day. We worked much more efficiently having that caffeine boost! We are grateful to the Hill Family who donated blocks, grocery carts, puzzles, and chalk. We have the most generous, thoughtful parents at Patti’s Preschool!

We will be closed on Tuesday, July 4th.

We hope you have a happy and safe holiday!
