Patti's Preschool Newsletter, May 2018

This month our theme is “Children’s Literature.” We will be reading a variety of books and telling flannel board stories each day. To expand on our literature, we will be centering activities around the theme of each book or story. This will provide many experiences in language development, fine motor skills, math and science, music and dramatic play. We will also be working on special projects for Mother’s Day and Memorial Day.

Celebrating birthdays this month are, Emma F., Halle, Tessa, Kylan, Weston, Gage, Ella, Avery, Venice, Ava, Leighton, Riley & Lidia. We hope everyone has a wonderful birthday! Our playground supervisor and teacher, Darcy Rabago, is celebrating her birthday this month. Help us wish her a very happy birthday!

The week of May 7 is Teacher Appreciation Week. A special note or flowers would be a nice way to express your gratitude to your child’s teacher! Our staff is committed to providing the best child care and we strive to prepare each child for a successful school career. We hope you will take a moment to thank our staff.

Please come to our Open House this month. We’d like you to visit your child’s classroom to see what he or she has accomplished this year. Our Open House dates will be on May 21 (Room 1 & 2), May 23 (Room 3 & 6), and May 25 (Room 4 & 5) from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. You don’t need to stay the entire hour but we’d love to have you stay long enough to check out the displays in the classroom. The whole family is welcome!

Book orders are due on Friday morning, May 11. Please make your check payable to Patti’s Preschool. We also accept credit cards for book orders or you can order online using our class code GW3RF.

Mother’s Day is May 13!

Happy Mother’s Day to all of the beautiful mothers at our school!

Two of our teachers, Cathy Woolpert and Susan Drake will be celebrating their anniversaries this month. Cathy and Susan take pride in their job as educators. We feel lucky to have them at Patti’s Preschool!

Our Spring Fundraiser was a huge success! Our top three sellers were Evan & Chase Ito, Delani Marston, & Macey & Reagan Darvish! Thank you to everyone who participated. We raised over $2200 which will help pay for our summer educational guests. Our summer themes are posted on our web site (click on Calendars, then Summer Themes) so you can see all the awesome activities we’re anticipating.
