Patti's Preschool Newsletter, April 2021
Our theme this month is All About Nature. Our lesson plans will focus on bird watching, nature scavenger hunts, nature collages, and leaf rubbings. The children will also be learning about spring weather and the life cycle of plants and animals. Each classroom has butterfly larvae so the children will learn all about metamorphosis. They will see the caterpillars transition into chrysalides and emerge as butterflies!

We are looking forward to celebrating Earth Day at school this month. We will be teaching our students about recycling, taking care of our planet, preventing ocean pollution, and more! When your child comes home singing a new Earth Day song, you will be inspired to join the next Coastal Cleanup event!
Each year Patti’s Preschool supports Tanaka Farms community fundraiser to assist the farmers whose farms were violently swept away ten years ago by the 9.0 Tohoku earthquake and tsunami. This year the event will be held on Saturday, June 19th, at Tanaka Farms in Irvine. Registration will open on April 1st. This is a fun family event where you will get to walk around a real working farm and try some of their freshly harvested fruits and vegetables. Please go to WalkTheFarm.org for more information!
