We’re starting off the month with Western Week. We’re looking forward to our Wild West Day on Thursday, August 4, with activities on the playground along with pony rides. We’ll be learning all about dinosaurs the following week. During the week of August 15 our theme is Under the Sea. Our staff will provide engaging activities about the ocean and sea life. We’re looking forward to pirate adventures during the third week of August. Mad Science will be here Wednesday, August 24, to offer a presentation on Sea, Sand, and Surf. We’ll end the month with lots of fun outdoor activities like water play, bubbles on the playground, and a toy car wash! Our final summer guest will be Brettso the Great, a professional magician, who is sure to astound and delight out students. Brettso will magically appear on Monday, August 29!
We can’t wait for Hawaiian Day on Tuesday, August 16. We’ll be filled with the Aloha spirit when the Kona Shaved Ice truck parks in front of our school. Be sure to send your child in tropical clothing that day!
The last day of our summer session is Thursday, September 1. We will be closed on Friday, September 2 for Teacher Prep Day in order to get ready for our fall session which begins on Tuesday, September 6. Your child may be moving to a new class that day. (We will be closed on Monday, September 5 for Labor Day.) Class assignments will be posted in front of the school on Monday, August 29.
Ms. Katherine O. will be celebrating her first year work anniversary on August 20. Ms. Katherine (along with Ms. Jennifer) has made our Stepping Up class outshine other TK classes by bringing in new ideas and providing an enriching curriculum. Our kitchen supervisor, Ms. Celeste, will be celebrating her 13 years at Patti’s on Wednesday, August 31. Ms. Celeste has been traveling with her husband this summer and will return on Monday August 22.
We are so excited about being treated to a pizza lunch on Thursday, August 25, compliments of Christina and Jason Curnyn, Cristiano’s thoughtful parents. We are looking forward to ending our fun summer camp with a pizza party. Thank you, Christina and Jason!
Celebrating birthdays this month are Audrey, Nash, Sofia R., Owen, Quinn, Cameron V., Delaney, Grayson S., Leo, Chloe, Dylan, Nathan, Gemma, Beckham, and Kaleah. Happy birthday to our friends!
