Our January theme is Health, Safety, and Nutrition.  We will focus on school rules, nutritious foods, and ways to stay healthy.  Lesson plans will include cooking projects, safety sign pictures, and nutritious food collages.  Our staff has also incorporated movement games and activities to keep our students moving each day. Besides enhancing brain development, promoting active play is a good way to keep our kids healthy. Your child may come home and tell you all about participating in Alphabet Yoga or playing Mark the Spot! We will also learn about the winter season so watch for some fun winter projects to come home!

Book orders are due Friday morning, January 9. If you would like to order online, find out how from Sandy! Our school receives free books with each parent order so thank you for participating.

Celebrating birthdays this month are Luna, Ryder M., Hunter, Brady, Makena, Russell, Remi, Damla, and Harlow. Two of our incredible staff members, Ms. Catherine and Ms. Celeste are also celebrating their birthdays. Happy birthday to all our friends!

Congratulations to our wonderful teacher, Ms. Tammy on her four-year anniversary and our hard-working kitchen supervisor, Ms. Kam on her two-year anniversary. We truly appreciate their dedication and commitment to the school!

Summer enrollment forms will go home on Monday, January 5 and are due on Friday, January 9. Please drop off your completed form at the front desk or email a copy to the school. Thank you!

Your tuition statement for the 2025 school year will be sent home on January 20.  Please save this form for your income taxes.

A huge thank you to our amazing families for taking such thoughtful care of our staff! We are so grateful for the generosity of the Guzman Family for treating our teachers to El Pollo Loco, the Arthur Family for the delicious Olive Garden lunch, and Sam and Vic Nguyen for the personal boxed meals from BJ’s Restaurant. Staff also feasted on authentic Mexican cuisine from the Herndon Family’s restaurant, Que Vida Tacos (located in HB)! We also want to extend a special thank you to the Thuyen Family for brightening our morning with bagels and coffee, and to Vanessa and Liam Nguyen for the delightful donuts and coffee. Your kindness meant so much to us and truly made our staff feel appreciated and loved! We are also grateful for all the generous parents who sent in holiday gifts for staff. You spoiled us!

Many thanks to all the parents who brought in items for special classroom projects in December!   The children had so much fun celebrating the holidays with their classmates.

We appreciate the many donations we received for the school last month! The plasma car from the Tierney Family and books from the Boucher Family have been a smashing hit and great addition to the playground! The scratch paper donation from the Zellmer Family always comes in handy for creative drawing, and we’ll certainly put the Magic Eraser donation from the Kennedy Family to use! Additionally, Room 1 has been loving the tree house toy from the Gutierrez Family!

The Elks Preschool Vision Screening Program will be here at school on January 7, 8, and 9 to perform free vision screenings. An email was sent out with details of the screening, as well as general information. If you do NOT want your child to participate, please alert the front office.
