Patti's Preschool Newsletter, July 2022

We’re starting off the month of July celebrating America the Beautiful during the week of June 27 with lots of exciting activities. Please have your child wear patriotic clothing to school on June 30 and July 1 for our 4th of July parades on the playground. During the week of July 4 and 11, we will be learning all about the animal world. We’ll encounter real live animals when we go on a Habitat Hike with the Environmental Nature Center on July 11. We can’t wait for a visit from Thor’s Reptile Family on July 14. The following week, our STEM theme will spark interest when our staff introduces hands-on math and science projects. Mad Science will present a workshop about Space Frontiers on July 21.

Celebrating birthdays this month are Annabelle, Lilah, Hazel M., Lorelei, Soren, and Koelle. Three of our staff members – Ms. Amber, Ms. Tammy, and Ms. Shondra - are also having July birthdays. We hope everyone has a memorable birthday!

Ms. Lauren is celebrating her 4-year anniversary at Patti’s Preschool this month! Ms. Lauren makes an effort to prepare her students in all areas and she knows how to make learning fun! We are lucky to have Ms. Lauren on our staff.

We are pleased to announce the addition of a new staff member, Megan Allen, who is taking over as our kitchen supervisor for the summer. Ms. Celeste is taking the summer off to travel with her husband and will return at the end of August. We are delighted to welcome Megan to Patti’s Preschool and wish Ms. Celeste safe travels!

We will be closed on Monday, July 4, to celebrate the 4th of July weekend. We hope you have a happy and safe holiday!

We would like to welcome our new students and families. We look forward to getting to know you! We always strive to make this an easy transition for your family. Please feel free to stop by the front desk or call the school if you have any questions!

Fall registration sign-up forms have been sent home and must be returned no later than Friday, July 1st, to reserve a space for your child! We cannot guarantee a spot if the signed sheet is not returned by that date.

Our teachers will be taking their annual vacations over the summer months. Someone from our regular staff or one of our qualified substitutes will cover for them while they are gone. Your child’s teacher will notify you and your child in advance. Also, please alert the front office if you have planned a family vacation so we’re aware your child will be absent.

We are grateful to Gloria and Ryan Ward for donating a playhouse. We added it to our housekeeping area on our playground and the children love it! The sand buckets and shovels from Roxane and Mark Bennett are a nice addition to our sandbox. The brand new karaoke machine donated by Yuqi and Sheldon Li made our Stepping Up graduation ceremony a huge success! We’ll look forward to using it every year. The colorful graduation yard signs from Emily Thurber provided lots of photo opportunities for our families. We appreciated the generous donation of art supplies from Lacey and Aamir Raza. The pom poms, cotton balls, and paint bottles will come in handy. Many thanks to our generous parents!
