Summer camp is just around the corner and we can’t wait for all our fun activities and special guests. We want to finish off the school year by celebrating with pizza lunches for our students in Room 3, 5, and 6 on June 7 and 8. For our younger students, we’re planning some surprise activities on June 14 and 15. Our theme at the end of the month will be Creative Art and America the Beautiful. We’ll show our patriotism during the week of June 27 with lots of fun crafts including handmade flags and hats! We’ve attached a copy of our summer themes so take a look at all the exciting events we have planned!
Scholastic book orders are due on Friday morning, June 10. This will be our last book order for the school year and we’ll offer them again starting next September. Go to www.scholastic.com to place your order. Our class code is GW3RF. Please see the front office for more information! We receive points for classroom supplies with every order!
Celebrating birthdays this month are Zachary, August, Rylee, Parker, Blake, Blaze, Nicole, Ellie, Sofiia S., Lucia, Cristiano, Ellie, and Logan. We hope everyone has a very special day!
Two staff members are celebrating their work anniversaries this month. Please congratulate Ms. Sue (4 years) and Ms. Leicy (1 year). Both teachers are an important part of our team and we feel lucky to have them at Patti’s Preschool!
The dinosaur donation from Jodi and Andy Stephenson made our Room 6 students very happy. They are also enjoying the magnetic dress-up dolls and cash register from Jackie and Chris Simmons. The big box of donated toys from Regina and Aaron McConnell was passed around so each teacher could pick a toy or book. The Paw Patrol toy from Paige and Tim Cota is a big hit in Room 6! Thank you to all of our thoughtful parents!
Thank you to all our generous parents who brought in breakfast treats, flowers, cards, and special gifts for Teacher Appreciation Week. We are so grateful for your kind, considerate gestures!
Our popcorn fundraiser was a huge success thanks to everyone who participated. We’d especially like to thank the Ward, Flores, and Blecha families who were our top sellers! We are pleased to announce that profits will go toward paying our educational guests this summer. We can’t wait for Franklin Haynes Marionette Show, Thor’s Reptile Family, and pony rides to name a few!).
We will be closed on Friday, June 17, for Teacher Prep Day. We are going to be busy getting ready for our summer session which begins on Tuesday, June 21. Your child may be moving to a new classroom on that day. Our summer rosters will be posted in front of the school on Monday, June 13.
We are excited to have Franklin Haynes Marionettes return to school! He will be performing, “Frankie’s 4th of July” on Monday, June 27. Franklin’s puppet shows always provide lots of giggles from the crowd!
School will be closed on Monday, June 20, in honor of Juneteenth National Holiday.
