Summer camp is just around the corner (starting Monday, June 22) and we can’t wait for all our fun activities and special guests. We’ve attached a copy of our summer themes so take a look at all the exciting events we have planned! We have several educational guests booked to tie in with our weekly themes! We’ll kick off the summer with Creative Art Week, where students will explore colors, textures, and creativity while getting acquainted with their new classrooms and friends. The following week, June 29, we’ll celebrate America the Beautiful Week. Brettso the Great Magician will help start our patriotic festivities with a special magic show! We also invite students to wear patriotic clothing to school on July 2 for our annual 4th of July parade on the playground.

We want to finish off the school year by celebrating with a pizza lunch for our graduating students in Room 3 and 6 on June 1. For our younger students, we’re planning some surprise activities before summer camp starts. Look for an update on ClassDojo!

Scholastic book orders are due on Friday morning, June 5. This will be our last book order for the school year and we’ll offer them again starting next September. Please visit our school book club at https://orders.scholastic.com/GW3RF to place your orders! We receive points for classroom supplies with every order!

Celebrating birthdays this month are Milo, Madison, Laith, Thomas, Wyatt, Ariana, and Ryder L. We hope everyone has a very special day!

Our substitute teacher, Ms. Sue, is celebrating her 8-year anniversary this month! She is always willing to help out with the kindest smile! Please let her know you appreciate her hard work!

We love our Patti’s Preschool dads so we’d like to wish all of you a very happy Father’s Day!

Many, many thanks to all the thoughtful parents who treated us to so many yummy treats like doughnuts, coffee, bagels, cookies, fabulous gifts, flowers, and cards during Teacher Appreciation Week. We are so thankful for your kind, considerate gestures. You made it a special week for all of us at Patti’s Preschool!

We are looking forward to a concert with famous children’s singer, Dan Crow, on Thursday, June 25. He is best known for performing the theme song (“Walk Outside”) of the movie, “The Adventures of Milo and Otis,” but also composed many Disney songs, most significantly for Welcome to Pooh Corner and Dumbo’s Circus. Dan has been entertaining children at Patti’s Preschool since the 80’s and we feel honored that he continues to sing for us!

A special thank you to the Boucher family for donating extra clothes and shoes for our students. These items are always so helpful for potty accidents and messy play days! We’d also like to thank the Fimbres family for their huge donation of school supplies, including construction paper, toys, educational games, and more. Your generosity helps keep our classrooms fun, creative, and well-stocked for our students!

We will be closed on Thursday, June 18, for Teacher Prep Day.  We will be busy getting ready for our summer session which begins on Monday, June 22. Your child will move to his/her new classroom on that day.  Our summer rosters will be posted in front of the school on Thursday, June 11. Please remember that your child will be in the new class for the summer and then move up again in September.

School will also be closed on Friday, June 19, in honor of Juneteenth National Holiday.
