Our November theme is All About Families.  Our lesson plans will include finger plays, songs, books, and flannel board stories about families.  The children will be making family trees, special family books, and family graphs.  Thanksgiving is also part of our November theme so watch for some fun Thanksgiving Day projects.

Scholastic book orders are due Friday morning, November 6th.  Ordering online is easy using our class code: GW3RF – just ask Sandy or Jennifer at the front desk. We receive free books for the school with every parent order placed. Thanks for ordering!

Celebrating birthdays this month are Henry, Brooks, Sienna, Elise, and Tatum! Our amazing kitchen supervisor, Ms. Paulina, also has a birthday this month! We hope everyone has a fun time celebrating!

Our Halloween party was a smashing hit this year! We sincerely appreciated the thoughtful donations from our super parents for the Halloween festivities. Everything on our wish lists was provided which made our event fun and memorable. Thank you to everyone who stopped by and participated! You made it extra special for everyone.

We are looking forward to our Thanksgiving feast on Tuesday, November 24th and Wednesday, November 25th. We are asking parents to send a dessert or paper products (plates, napkins) for the feast.  Sign-up sheets will be posted in the classrooms. Please send a lunch for your child if he/she doesn’t participate in our hot lunch program.

We will be closed November 26th and 27th for Thanksgiving. Please let Sandy or Jennifer know if your child will be absent during Thanksgiving week.  We would like to know by November 13th.

The youth ballet company, Ballet Etudes, from the Huntington Academy of Dance will be at school on Thursday, November 12th at 10am. We’re so excited to have a performance and small demonstration of The Nutcracker for the entire school! We always enjoy the dancers and our students love the costumes! It is a wonderful way to get into the holiday spirit! We’ll send home brochures for their upcoming performances in HB.

A big thank you to the Berryman, Wishengrad, Beakes, Catanese, Supina, and Dygert families for their generous donations to our school! From puzzles, blocks, and puppets to instruments, baby dolls, and classroom supplies, your contributions bring so much joy to our students and help make our classrooms and playground even more fun. Room 2 has been loving their new tumbling blocks, and the Little People and farmhouses have been a wonderful addition to our playground! We truly appreciate your kindness and continued support of our school community!

MARK YOUR CALENDAR!

During the week of December 7, each classroom will host Holiday Crafts with Parents! We hope you’ll be able to stop by and enjoy a fun, 30-minute holiday craft activity with your child. Specific dates and times for each classroom will be shared soon. We look forward to celebrating the holiday season with you!
