Patti's Preschool Newsletter, September 2024

Our theme this month is Getting Acquainted and Self Esteem.  We will be talking about our families, our friends and our school.  Sharing, cooperation, and expressing our feelings will also be emphasized this month.  We will review school rules to give everyone a fresh start this month.  September is a great month for making new friends!

Scholastic Book orders are back!  If you would like to order books for your child, please go to https://orders.scholastic.com/GW3RF and create an account.  See front office staff for more information. We appreciate your book orders as we are able to add free books to our school library with each order!

We have School Spirit Days every month (check out calendar)! Your child may wear a preschool t-shirt that day. If you’d like to purchase a shirt, they are available at the front desk for $15.00 each.

Webby Dance Company conducts dance classes every Tuesdays and gymnastics classes every Friday at our school! They will be hosting a dance demo day on September 10 and a gym demo day on September 13 for all students to attend! We’ll send home enrollment flyers if you child would like to sign up!

Images 4 Kids will be here to take school photos on September 23 and 24 in the morning.  You will be able to purchase individual photos along with a classroom photo montage. We will let you know in advance which day your child will be photographed.  Please take a look at their website – www.images4kids.com

Ms. Jennifer and Ms. Patti will be hosting our Back to School Night for our Stepping Up class on Wednesday, September 18, from 5:00 to 5:30pm. We will be providing an overview of the curriculum and reviewing our goals for the year. There will be a brief period for Q&A as well. We will be able to offer child care (for enrolled children only) since we are open until 5:30. Please contact the school if you have any questions. Hope you are able to attend!

Two of our staff members are celebrating their anniversaries this month!  Congratulations and thank you Pam Taylor (32 years) and Shondra Thigpen (3 years). Please remember to thank and congratulate our dedicated staff!

Celebrating birthdays this month are, Ophelia, Axel Cr., Ethan, Emmy, Renee, Maxwell, Miguel, Bailey, Benjamin F., Zayn, Wesley, Haven, Henry, Allove, and Benjamin G. Four staff members, Kam, Sue, Pam, and Rowana, are also having birthdays in September.  Happy birthday to all of our friends!

Our staff feasted on a delicious lunch from What-a-Lotta Pizza, courtesy of Sam and Victor Nguyen and Carrie and Nick Lines. The mouthwatering pizza, salads, and wings were piled high on our plates! The freshly baked donuts were the perfect dessert to follow! Thank you, Nguyen and Lines family, for the thoughtful treat!

We are so thankful for our donations this month! Thank you to the Nacham family for donating books and teacher supplies, and the Eitel family for various toys and puzzles. We also greatly appreciated the toy donation from the Rutkowski family and the connecting tubes from the Zellmer family. We truly have the most generous families!
